A New Take On Yoga
With wellness still a very big reason for people to travel, many hotels and resorts are upping the ante on the traditional Yoga class. These days hotels are offering everything from Full Moon, Children’s, and Sunset Beer Yoga classes to Flamingo Yoga, Standup Paddleboard Yoga in a dolphin habitat, as well as Aerial and Treetop Yoga. Business And Leisure Travel Are Forever Blurred
Accor Group Chairman and CEO Sébastien Bazin has said it’s now become impossible to segregate business and leisure travel. "Don't try anymore to segregate leisure and business because it’s going to be vastly impossible except on [meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions] and congress events," Bazin said, attributing those blurred lines to remote work. Waterparks Are Hotter Than Ever
If there is one key amenity resort properties are investing in these days, it has to be the waterpark. Hotels and resorts are plunging into waterpark upgrades, luxury amenities, and creative features — and they’re spending millions to attract a new breed of traveler. Most importantly, the venue needs to look less like a waterpark and more like a high-end pool club. Of special note: private cabana rentals are proving to be a big moneymaker. It’s summer, so no surprise that restaurants around the world are serving up creative versions of the notalgic childhood favorite: the ice cream sundae. Chefs are flexing their creativity with extravagant, artfully assembled newfangled sundaes, taking classic elements — a brownie or cookie base, a scoop of ice cream draped in sweet sauce, crunchy and colorful toppings, a pouf of whipped cream, and a cherry on top — and reinventing the frozen treat in unexpected new ways.
