Issue 220 • October 29, 2024
There’s a lot to unpack when it comes to trends this week. Believe it or not, we are beginning to witness THE END OF THE DIGITAL NOMAD as countries who once courted them are now changing their tune and making it more difficult to work abroad. There is a new report out on WHAT WE’LL BE EATING NEXT YEAR. Seems like sourdough everything, tea-infused anything, and crunch are going to be big. EXTENDED STAY HOTELS ARE BOOMING as brands are putting more money behind them than ever before. Not satisfied with profits from add-ons like extra legroom and priority boarding, AIRLINES NOW WANT TO TAKE A BIGGER SLICE OF YOUR TRAVEL PIE by offering ancillary services. And the 2025 TRAVEL TRENDS keep on coming as we look at Rogue Trips, Vocation Vacations, and Clear Mind Tourism. Check it all out in our three-minute read below.

Airlines Plan To Offer Ancillary Services
It’s no longer enough for the airline industry to make money from selling tickets and myriad add-ons from unlimited changes to baggage check fees, more legroom, meals, entertainment, priority boarding, etc. Ancillaries are becoming a main character in the aviation finance plotline, with plans to extend beyond these common offerings. Airlines are hoping to grab a bigger share of the consumer’s travel dollar by offering a seamless way to book not just flights, but a full range of travel-related products and services.
