The Year Of The Goat
Expedia is calling 2022 the year of the GOAT, or the “Greatest Of All Trips.” No longer willing to wait on the sidelines, optimistic travelers are booking “bucket list”-style trips this year, despite rising costs in the travel sphere. In a survey of 12,000 travelers in 12 countries, 65% of respondents are planning to “go big” on their next trip. Read more in CNBC here.

What was the most searched hotel amenity according to Hotels.com? Bathtubs! During the height of the pandemic it appears travelers wanted to relax and soak in a tub — can you blame them? Home Design Brand Creates Pop-up Hotel
If you are a home design brand, what better way to have people truly experience your products than to live with them at a hotel? This is what West Elm attempted to do a few years back, but failed. Now the UK Argos brand is collaborating with Pinterest to create a pop-up hotel, the Argos Mood Hotel. Six mood rooms at the Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green will be open to the public from April 2 to 4, with a limited number of suites available to book for a complimentary overnight stay.
